Sporting Clays
allows the hunter to warm up before season, the novice shooter to
hone his/her abilities, and the competitive shooter to practice and
compete. Shooters normally walk or ride along a designated path from
station to station in open fields and hardwood gaps. Each station
uses clay targets to simulate any animal such as dove, duck,
woodcock, or even a bouncing rabbit. A typical round normally
consists of 50 or 100 targets spread over 12 shooting stations.
Target presentations not only vary from club to club, but often week
to week.
